The Blue Hour consists of lush soundscapes, vivid lyrics, swelling guitar parts and driving bass lines. The songs are at times quiet and intimate and at others epic and cathartic. You can shove the "emo" tag line up your ass ,these jams are expressive and passionate and at times even joyful. Expect something completely genuine and heartfelt without the marketing, and the bullshit and the rhetoric. It's simple and often broad and enveloping in the sweetest way possible.
We just returned from Minneapolis where we recorded 13 brand new tracks with Knol Tate of Askeleton fame. A bit more recording is happening here in Atlanta, and the songs will be mixed back up there in late September. A 7" single should be expected in the winter and the full-length right behind in the Spring. This is super exciting for us as it has been forever and a day since "i've filled up these pages" came out. Expect something completely new.
