I'm gonna fly to my own little heaven.

About Me

Get your own slideshow on RingoRingo - Photo Sharing Made EasyOkay, let's start at the beginning: I was born in New Orleans and resided there for three weeks before migrating to Liberty, MS (pop. 600) where I lived happily ignorant until 1991. This was the year I left Liberty to attend school at The Mississippi School for Mathematics and School. Let's just say that attending this school opened my eyes to possibilities I never dreamed of awake or in slumber. Seriously. Okay, let's fast forward. Two years there. Four years at Alcorn State University. One semester teaching high school English in Drew, MS. Six months sitting on my ass. One month working in a factory in McComb, MS packing panties and making boxes (don't know; don't ask.) During the ass-sitting phase, I applied to exactly one graduate school and got in, so I moved to DC to attend Georgetown University. One semester and one-fourth there. Then, again I found salvation: The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. I walked into this tiny school located in the basement of a church and found home. And that led me to the here and now: being pulled between two worlds--the life of an artist and a life of practicality. And I just can't seem to let go of the former. So, I live every day just trying to be better and do better and live happier. To be continued. (Damn, how many clichés was that???!!!)
