About Now-Again Records
Egon established Now-Again Records in 2001 as a subsidiary of the Los Angeles-based independent hip-hop label, Stones Throw Records . Now-Again focuses on reissuing the best raw, heavy funk music that came out on U.S. independent labels in the late '60s and early '70s. Check out the Now-Again compilation Cold Heat Vol. 1 for an introduction to this type of funk.
Now-Again also releases hip-hop tracks that combine with funk. Rappers such as Percee P, Guilty Simpson, M.E.D., Edan, Aloe Blacc have blessed the catalog with verses. Remixers include the likes of Kenny Dope, Cut Chemist, J.Rocc, Todd Terry, Oh No and Koushik. Check out the new collection Now-Again Re:Sounds for the hip-hop.
Now-Again CDs and vinyl are available at fine record stores, including online retailers such as fatbeats.com , dustygroove.com , and turntablelab.com . Some titles are available via digital download through iTunes and eMusic.
