Mike Deiure

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Mike Deiure began his passion for music at the age of 6 on the piano. After studying the instrument for over eight years, his aspirations turned to learning the guitar. It was influences such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and John Petrucci that gave him the discipline and drive to pursue a higher level of playing and efficiency on the instrument than most of his peers.Mike was accepted into the guitar performance major at the State University on New York College at Fredonia. Although he chose to minor in music, it was here where he was introduced to classical guitar as well as a whole new level of discipline that included some very long days of practicing and playing. After completing all his music requirements at Fredonia, Mike made the decision to stay in music and transfer to the Music Industry program at SUNY Oneonta. Oneonta presented the perfect opportunity to balance both a passion for performing and an outlet to meet and collaborate with other musicians. It was also here where Mike started to collect and learn the necessary tools for starting his own recording studio, an endeavor that has taught him the skills to become a successful recording artist producer and engineer.After a year and a half of being graduated, Mike has kept himself immersed in the creative side of music by constantly writing, performing, and collaborating in the Rochester area as well as acting as an engineer on various projects in NYC. As of the beginning of 2004, Mike..s 50+ guitar and piano students keep him focused on his goals of becoming the best musician he can possibly be while his home recording studio gives him the outlet to push both his engineering and producing outlets to the max.Look for the release of Mike..s first full-length album hopefully around the start of 05...
