People who have either an investment or interest in belly dancing, also unpretentious, down to earth individuals who are interested not in finding another audience for themselves but investing in getting to really know other people. NOT ANYONE WHO WANTS TO HOOK UP WITH ME BASED ON MY PICTURES...I can get ass without the internet, thanks, so don't bother, please. I suppose it would also be nice to meet any "soul mate" I have floating around out there, but I doubt this is the medium in which I will meet him, and I'm not going ramble on about true love or anything. I'm sure it exists, but I'm also pretty sure I'm going to get slapped in the face by it when I least expect. Other than that, this network, for me, is a place to keep in touch with people who I already know and am friends with.
I DO NOT like every type of music. Genres I do enjoy include: Rock, Metal (almost any type, from power to classic to death), Hard Rock, Alternative, Classic Rock, some Pop, some Punk, anything out of the East that I can dance to, Bhangra, Industrial, Grunge, and I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of any now. I do not profess to be an expert in any of these groups, but I enjoy music from all of them. Genres I DO NOT like: RAP, Hip Hop, R and B, mainstream pop, COUNTRY (unless it's Johnny Cash), and most of all GANGSTA RAP. Yuck. My taste is actually quite varied, though it may seem one sided. And for anyone who professes to like "all types" of music, just because you listen to rap and country does not mean you are a music conisseur (major pet peeve of mine).
Including but not limited to: The LOTR trilogy (lame I know, I even used the abbreviation, what have I become?), Star Wars (only episodes 4-6, that new shit is CRAP), V for Vendetta, A Clockwork Orange, Sin City, Donnie Darko, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Snatch, Princess and the Warrior, Interview with the Vampire, Moulin Rouge, Terminator 2, First Blood, Phantom of the Opera, Spirited Away (and almost anything else by Miyazaki, though that's it for anime), Hero, POC (only the first...the third has to come out before I'm convinced that the second was any good at all...), and that's all I can think of right now, though the list is much larger...
I don't like tv and I try to avoid it... I read instead...but when I do feel like being a vegetable, I enjoy Family Guy, Futurama, the Simpsons, MXC, Miami Ink, American Chopper, and anything that has to do with animals or building cars or motorcycles, odd though that may be.
Endless list here...let's just say that I very narrow-mindedly read almost exclusively fantasy (I'm such a dork)...however, a few stand out, among the countless number that I have read...The orginal Conan stories (they're AWESOME, no joke), The Lord of the Rings, Stardust and Neverwhere (both by Neil Gaimen), Watchmen (Alan Moore), The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter (shut up, they're fabulous), Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, A College of Magics, and more that I can't think of...anything that effectively grabs my mind and transports me to a place so far away and different that I forget about my real troubles, concerns, and obligations I consider an excellent read. I'm very much an escapist, when it comes to books.
My mom, first and foremost. A single woman who absolutely puts my brother and me first. I am very glad to be coming to an age where I can put her first sometimes now and I look forward to when I can begin to give back to her, though it will never compare. My younger brother for being someone of character and principles in this crazy world. And, though it's rather cheap to lump everyone else together, my friends for not only putting up with the good, the bad, and the ugly of me, but even loving it too. I have a rather small number of friends, but they are all carefully handpicked because of how amazing they are and how dynamic, driven, loving, and insightful they can be, and are, most of the time.
