About Me

Long ago we had this idea that our shared love for the blues should be a good reason to play music together, but somehow it never came to be. Until a mutual friend asked us to play at her birthday party. It went surprisingly well, so we decided to play some more, write some songs and see how far we got.
Until now we saw a lot of train rides between Bonn and Cologne, we played for audiences varying in size between 15 (a living room) and 900 (Live Music Hall Cologne). We saw that we write far too many songs to actually rehearse and play all of them live, which means that at some point there will be a lot of unreleased and B-Side material. We also saw a radio station (Köln Campus Radio) and we played a live show on air there. Whoever knows how big that audience was. And we got recognized in the street too, which was awkward.
We haven't yet seen a recording studio from the inside, we haven't yet seen the life on the road and we haven't yet seen anyone throw dollar bills at us.
Thanks for checkin us out!

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Matthes plays guitar and presses keys on several instruments. Mick sings, plays the guitar and other stringed instruments (mandolin & cigar box sitar). We might also play other things if we got our hands on them.

From time to time we include guests in our performances. So far those have been: Sandra Karangwa playing drums and Danja Ulrich playing the bass, both also sang backing vocals. In the loudest rendition of our songs so far the guests have been Max Domma hitting the drums like mad and Jörg Klein getting funky on bass. (More guests are to come!)
Influences: influences include love, art, blues and hangovers.

Sounds Like: All things born from stubborn love. Things improvised from string and spit, things you'll like because their eyes are of differing sizes, that are hunched and speak in a weird way. Things like tin houses with a branching well at the door. Our songs mostly turn out a bit like that.
Type of Label: None
