I am a Northern Virginia native with interests in African-American literature, drama, and film.
After leaving the workforce, my love and commitment to the literary industry was re-ignited after joining
RAWSISTAZ Online Book Club. I am the Director of Operations for RAWSISTAZ and assist with day-to-day operations. I am also the Children's Editor and a Senior Reviewer. My reviews have been featured in both online and print magazines. In addition, I am the President of the Northern Virginia Chapter of RAWSISTAZ (NoVA).
In addition to the above, I am a freelance proofreader and manuscript evaluater for several publishing companies and self-published authors.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Hampton University, and also attended Howard University where I was enrolled in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program until outside obligations prevented me from continuing. I have worked in a number of area elementary schools and local non-profit organizations, providing counseling and support for children and parents. In addition, I have taught parent education courses in homeless shelters and with various programs throughout the Northern Virginia area.
