Bio
Author Crystal Hickerson was born in Jamaica, Queens New York and resided in Manhattan as a young child going to many civil rights marches with her mother and playing on the campuses of Rutgers University and Columbia University Law School. After the passing of her mother at age 12 she had to return to her summer vacation town of Dyersburg, Tennessee for good where her grandfather raised her from there.
At the age of 18 she escaped from the trappings of the small southern town and traveled the country and abroad living in Las Vegas, Tacoma, Washington and also living in Naples, Italy. She explored many cities in between including Los Angeles and Naples and Rome, Italy where she even had the opportunity to explore the outskirts of the Vatican.
Her writing comes from so many different areas of her life. Many of told her to write the story of her life and it would be a best seller, however she had decided to take those life stories and place them throughout the many novels she plans to write. The Magician is a story about a man who has the ability to do what illusionists pretend to do however his powers and purpose goes far beyond a majick show but delves into the spirituality and the next evolution of man.
"I don't like to classify my writings. But the main themes of my stories are and will be about love, spirituality, and death. Which are themes that have been a constant in my own life." Crystal explains about the subjects she chooses to write about.
