I work in the refuse industry, like my Father and his Father before him. I'm a third generation Refuse Collector [or as I like to refer to myself, a Garbologist!] and I'm damn proud of it.
Some people look down on us Refuse Collectors [or Garbologists], but I would rate us right up with with Firefighters as HEROES! We ensure the streets are clean, and that disease is kept at a minimum. We are the ones who clean up after the whole city. I like to think somewhere out there that there is a girl who will be proud to date a Refuse Collector such as myself.
I have some really interesting stories about garbage collecting, some of the things i have found that people have thrown away is incredible! If you want to mail me I can share these stories with you, I assure you that you will be literally wetting yourself with laughter!
Larry Litter is fully endorsed as being a Role Model to the youth of today, and is held high as a beacon of cleanliness by the Australian Government both home and abroad, as well as the Sydney City Council. I have had a few Television appearances also on such shows as "How Clean is your House" and my personal favourite all time TV show "A Life of Grime". It was an honour to partake in such a show, and talks are abound that I can become a regular contributor!!
My dream is to someday buy my own Refuse Truck and move to a nice quiet town where I can raise a family and run the Refuse Collection in that area.
It may sound like a cliche...but you could say that clean streets make me as happy as Larry
