Ever since childhood, Aubrey O'Day has been a performer. After being in the Top 3 of the first season of Making The Band 3 and making it through both seasons filled with hardships, Aubrey proved she is an asset to the band. With beauty and talent, Aubrey is sure to become a star. 22-year-old Aubrey could be described as "wild and crazy," and that extends to her housekeeping habits--she's considered the messiest of the group. When it comes to her career, however, this Palm Springs native is nothing but disciplined, and has studied dance for many years.
Aundrea =
Big things come in, small packages" as Aundrea would put it. Aundrea Fimbres is a powerhouse vocalist that will blow you away. Diddy choosing Aundrea for his band was an obvious. Her cute smile will just make you melt and her voice will make you cry for more. Aundrea will be a star. Cali girl Aundrea is the baby of her family--and the shortest member of the group. Watch out, though--Aundrea packs a lot of talent and ambition in her little frame, and this natural-born romantic has been striving for stardom since she was a kid.
Shannon =
A great singer, dancer, and a great person. Shannon Bex, the only one in the band who's married is an extremely talented woman. Beginning performing with the Portland Trailblazers, Shannon was a must-have for this band. Being pushed to be the best by Diddy, Shannon is a nothing short of amazing. At first glance, Shannon seems pretty shy, but that's just until she gets to know you. Then the biting wit comes out. A former cheerleader for the Portland Trailblazers, Shannon is married to a fellow dancer. Her age, experience, and knack for organization make her a mother figure for the rest of the girls.
Dawn =
Dawn Richard was born in New Orleans, LA. Dawn was born a natural performer. Growing up in her mother's studio, Dawn became an amazingly talented dancer which was a very important trait whom Diddy wanted in his band. With Dawn's very sultry and smooth voice Dawn is a true showstopper. New Orleans native Dawn survived Hurricane Katrina, an experience that has only made her even more determined to make it. The daughter of a dance teacher and a musician, she's been immersed in performing since she was a baby, and honed her skills as a cheerleader for the Charlotte Hornets. She also has a wicked sense of humor--which she's not afraid to use!
Wanita a.k.a. D.WOODS =
From dance lessons as a child, music has become a way of life for Wanita Woodgette aka D. Woods Her sweet and smooth voice creates a talent above no other. Her fresh personality and undeniable beauty made her a must for this band. One of the most real people in the industry, D. Woods is nothing but fresh! You can call her Wanita, or you can call her D. Woods. Just know that this girl is all about getting the job done. A dancer, singer and actor, this Atlanta girl is the most athletic of the group. She can get along with the other girls--but it's her sister who she's really tight with.
Danity Kane is a girl group signed to Bad Boy Records. They were formed on the second season of the show Making the Band 3. Danity Kane consists of five members: Aubrey O'Day, Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgett, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres.
Bad Boy Records has unveiled details of the eagerly anticipated debut album from Danity Kane, the red-hot girl group featured on the hit MTV series, Making the Band 3. The self-titled collection - which features the first single, 'Show Stopper' - lands in stores nationwide on August 22nd.

'Show Stopper,' the Jim Jonsin-produced first single from DANITY KANE, has proven a true sensation, well in advance of its official arrival at multi-format radio outlets in early August. Danity Kane will debut their video for 'Show Stopper' on August 4th on MTVs Making The Video. The girls will then appear on MTVs TRL on August 7th and on 'Sucker Free on MTV' on August 8th. DANITY KANE will also be featured on The Leak on MTV Jams and MTV Hits the week of August 15th.
Dawn, Aubrey, D. Woods, Shannon, and Aundrea were the cream of the crop among hundreds of ladies competing for a spot in Diddys new super group during the taping of the smash MTV reality show, Making the Band 3. Though each of the five ladies of Danity Kane come from different backgrounds, all have a number of things in common that bond them as a full-fledged group - extraordinary talent, looks, personality, business savvy, an ability to perform under intense pressure, and a lifelong dream of making music.
The women - who describe themselves as independent, outspoken, and empowering - have had a strong hand in shaping their identity, even going so far as coming up with the groups striking name. Dawn, an avid artist and anime aficionado, caught Diddys attention with a sketch of a female superhero shed dubbed 'Danity Kane.' He soon came to the realization that the moniker would make an ideal name for the band, declaring it to be solid and original, just like them.
The sound of Danity Kane meshes contributions from all five singers, resulting in a fluid and funky blend of voices that allows each member to assert her individuality while still uniting together as a whole. As with any group comprised of strong personalities, a variety of musical influences come into play - from Mariah Carey to Prince to Aerosmith - though each bandmate claims a special affinity for the harmony-rich R&B of En Vogue.
