About Me

Since her first performance on stage at the early age of 5, Aubrey O'Day has been addicted to entertaining the public. "I lived on the stage, and even at 6, slept behind the seats of the theatre". According to her mother, when she was 6 she was at a performance of the Nutcracker and she started to cry. Her mom asked her during intermission what was wrong, and Aubrey replied, "I am crying because I am sitting in the seats watching, instead of being up on stage!” Aubrey believes that is when she 'officially' realized she loved entertainment. She has pursued her love of performing through the years with various leads in many musical productions, including Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Carmen in Fame, Sandy in Grease, Liesl in The Sound of Music, Tzeitel in The Fiddler on the Roof, Mimi in Rent and the list goes on and on. From her first competition, Aubrey has not only been recognized by judges and audiences alike, but has been remembered and stood out in a crowd as a star. In 1992, she received her first honor, the SCETA Distinguished Theatrical Performance Award and from there has moved on to receive several others, including the Desert Theatre League's Outstanding Juvenile Performer in 1995, the Starmania Nationals' Junior Pop Vocalist in 1996, the California Arts' Scholar in Music and in Dance twice in 1997, a nomination for the Desert Theatre League's best supporting actress in 1998, the Desert Theatre League's Best Actress in 1999 and was one of the top five finalists for the 98.7 Be a Star Contest. Her biggest event to date, which can currently be seen on MTV, is the hit T.V. show Making the Band 3. She has made it to the top 3 at the end of season one; chosen personally by renowned hip-hop artist and producer Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs and Johnny Wright. "You've been like a captain of the group to me just by leading by example. You've displayed the hunger and perseverance that it takes to be a super star." Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs Aubrey was born an only child in San Francisco and from there moved to the Desert at age three, but has always felt like she grew up in LA because she spent most of her time performing and auditioning. From the Desert, she moved to Newport Beach for college and has spent the last four years there. Aubrey has just moved to L.A and is working with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, focusing on her talent as a singer, dancer and performer; preparing for the third season of Making the Band 3. She is also currently working in the studio collaborating with various artists to tap into her creative side and explore herself musically, using her influences ranging from Tracy Chapman to Billie Holiday to Frou Frou, A Tribe Called Quest, Dave Mathews Band, The Roots, BB King and many others. Although leading an exceptionally busy schedule, Aubrey O'Day devotes any free time she has to charity work. After graduating high school, she went on to college and spent a semester at sea. This is where she learned of her love for charities. While touring the world in such places as Japan, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, India, South Africa and many more, she worked with many service organizations. She worked in orphanages, refugee centers, battered women facilities and hospitals but most passionately with children with AIDS. "I loved every minute of it and thus found my second passion to performing...charity!" Since then she has started one of her own, called FAN (Fight AIDS Now). Her mission is to work hands on giving therapy and art to the children in hospitals. She has also donated her time to being a Big Sister and to The Pink Project, which is an organization that donates to RAINN and LABCA. You can see her in their star studded book in early 2006. Aubrey has wanted to be a super star since she was 5. She used to dress up in big heels, mini skirts, and put tons of glittery lipstick on and perform for not only her family and friends but anyone willing to watch. Aubrey O'Day is a star. She is destined to spend her life on stage and in the public eye. She captures her audience not only with her outstanding looks, her girlish smile, and her passion for dancing but most importantly her unmistakable talent. "At this point in my life, the stage has taught me the things I value most in my character: compassion, patience, and eternal love for anything or anyone expressive and unrestrained".
