About Me

In semester. So busy I'll only be a blur in your peripheral vision unless you call me specifically to see me or talk to me.I'm not 5'7, I'm 5'7 and three quarters after setting a goal to be 5'8. It's a constant galling reminder of all my still unachieved goals. I applied to Harvard to see if I could get in -- and turned them down. I could have had a full ride to the Harvard of art schools -- and found out too late to finish preparing my portfolio. I attend the Harvard of public schools which is also one of the top party schools -- but I only like drinking when there's something to celebrate or just chilling with friends, otherwise I don't drink much. I'd rather talk over coffee or ice cream. According to one friend, depending on when you meet me I'm one of the smartest people in the world -- or one of the blondest. Another friend tells me I'm crazy, but in a good way. I was recently told by someone on myspace that my profile made him feel inferior since mine reads like a John Irving novel. I'm not sure if that's true as I've never read John Irving, but it was sweet nontheless.
I'm a firm believer that in the end, no matter what, justice DOES exist so it is the objectively good that will win in any conflict -- even if you have to let go of everything and wait a long time for karma to kick it in your favor. Don't get on the bad side of karma -- she can be a total bitch. If I ever stopped believing that, it would mean believing those who CAN accomplish things and believe in an objective standard of what is right are powerless in the face of those who would use them. And if I ever stopped believing in that, it is one of the two things I know of that would shatter me.
I think the beauty of life is one of the most amazing things in the world and I'm constantly in awe of it. My favorite people are those who express it by being genuine or by creating beauty in some artform. My favoritest people are those who do both.
I use the phrase "it seemed like a good idea at the time" a LOT. It pretty much describes my entire life. I'm always doing something and I'm big on spontaneity but not so into planning. For me, knowing on Weds what I'm going to be doing on the weekend is planning. Unless a concert, someone coming to town or me leaving town are involved and then I might know earlier. Might being the opertive word.
I don't like making other people worry so I'm frequently guilty of not telling them things they ought to know. Usually they find out anyway and by then it's too late to be fixed. I don't lie. I'm too good and if people can't tell if I'm lying they can't trust me. Too many years as an actress and a writer. I do prevaricate, avoid answering questions, say something completely truthful which I know they will misinterpret or change the subject -- but if you ask me directly, you will always get the truth. Always.
I have many facets and I don't think there is any person who sees them all. I'm hoping that someday that might change.

My Interests

I love life, I love living it, I love to laugh, I laugh a lot, I love true beauty, I love beauty in unexpected places, I love the truth, I love the truth even when it hurts. My interests lie somewhere in the expression of those -- a shorter list would be disinterests.

My face lights up when I'm passionate about something. Even something as simple a joy as ice cream. Try it sometime.

I'd like to meet:

NOTE: This list does NOT include celebrities or anyone else who I have met but would like to meet again or spend more time with. This is a list solely of people I have never met in real life.

There are many people I look up to and would like to meet but frankly, I don't want to be anyone but me... I happen to like me the way I am. Even with all my faults.

My Blog

Blog I

Since I don't really keep a myspace blog, I thought I should start it with a moment of deep MySpace-ian profundity:I.BBQ.CHIX.I do -- even if I always seem to lose the battle with the sauce and it end...
