Dislikes
  • The sound of an apple being cut, don't ask me why...
  • When the national news makes such a huge deal about something really stupid like Anne Nicole Smith, and just try to make a "real" soap opera... Come on...
  • People who swear all over the place
  • Soap operas
  • Never being able to become lucid in a dream
  • The classic "teen party" where people do really immoral things and think that's the way to live.
  • Perverts
  • Most "girl stuff"
  • Abstract artists who think they're geniuses, (and maybe they are), but are also just lazy. (I'm not talking about all abstract artists, just the types who try to sell blank canvases for large sums).
  • Modern poets (who just write paragraphs and put breaks between in random places, or just repeat words) who think they're geniuses, (and maybe they are), but are also just lazy.
  • Death metal/emo bands (where it's just cacophonous and you don't understand what they're saying), who think they're geniuses, (and perhaps a tiny percent are), but are also just on drugs, angry, and lazy because they don't have to come up with any meaningful lyrics.
  • How people think "ringtones" are so excessively cool, and must go to shady sites to download new ones, whoopty doo!
  • When people think communism would be better for our country.
  • Mythology (I don't know why, it just got a little old)
  • Human reproduction (or at least what it seems like...)
  • "Classic" fantasy (elves, dwarves, I'm tired of them...)
  • "Busy-work" homework
  • People (like most emos) who really have good lives but want to make out that they're the least fortunate people out there for attention or who knows what else.
  • People (usually girls) who look at me like I'm some kind of freak in the hallways (I'm sure some of them do it with everyone...)
  • Really loud music
  • Extremists (oh, and a particular group comes to mind, they're-- radical m- mus- better not say it.)
  • People (like, politicians) who want to change everything just for the sake of being the one to change it or wanting to change it for immoral reasons, when they care more about what they're credited for than what really works.
  • The consipiracy theory that we didn't really land on the moon.
  • Crowded theme parks
  • When people ask how you did with something just for an excuse to brag about what they did on the same thing (unless it turns out you did better, heh heh)
  • Lysol and other disinfectants where ignorant people think they're killing all germs when really they're vaccinating bacteria to become unstoppable. Auugh!
  • How people who think their hydrogen and electric cars are really saving the environment
  • How people who think they're full of 1337ness think they can say idiotic things and look "smart".
  • How people who try to act intelligent over the internet for the sole sake of trying to put people down.
  • How some people insist that they can only draw anime and nothing else.

  • My Interests

Visual art, science (from mechanical engineering types to biology), computers, philosophy, economics, and speculation and overanalysis of anything.

    I'd like to meet:

People who like speculating about the future, and enjoy talking about science and philosophy as well. Also, I'm looking to meet people who also appreciate art, as I will be posting some of my artwork.

    Music:

This may seem weird, but I really don't like music with singing unless the lyrics aren't English. Music is essentially an abstract thing, and forming pictures based on what some vocalist is describing really ruins it for me. I like Indian, Asian, Celtic, and combinations of these with techno as a result. I play in a symphony, and have appreciation of classical music. I also like techno, like some of that real electronica stuff. So far, techno-ized Bach basically can't be beat. (Vanessa Mae, Bond, Lara St. John and the like).

    Movies:

Hm... movies are generally predictable, but not bad. I can't really pinpoint any favorites. I like sci-fi stuff, and "old" movies (black and white). I guess I could say the movies I don't like, such as raunchy, sick, satanic, and a general emphasis on bathroom and bedroom humor.

    Television:

I rarely willingly turn on the television, but if someone's on it, I'll watch. I like sci-fi (I've seen some good "outer limits" episodes), and stuff on the Discovery channel (yes, I'm a nerd). Oh, and the old "Looney Tunes".

    Books:

With the exception of obscure sci-fi books from the 50s and 60s, I really don't read much fiction. Instead, I'll listen to an audio-book from the library. I spend my pockets of reading time on science books mainly, things on the nature of life, and theoretical stuff about the universe. I've got a bunch of books I've started but something always perks my interest and I leave to go start that one. "Artificial Life", "Time Travel in Einstein's Universe", "Chaos and Harmony", "Who's afraid of Shrodinger's cat", things like that. I love when concepts are abstracted as they are in informative books like those.

    Heroes:

Um... I don't model my life around any individual people. I admire people like the authors of some of the books I've read (Hawking, Hoffstadter, etc...), people like Leonardo Da Vinci, and we can't forget Rube Goldberg!

A career as a concept artist?

The following was a letter I sent to a special-effects artist, a relative of someone I know in person: I'm still in a dilemma regarding a career, and again I'm realizing I simply don't know enough abo...

What is my (site's) purpose in (MySpace) life?

I love working on website stuff, but now it's like "all dressed up and no place to go"... Basically, I really don't have many "friends", and am not quite sure of my direction after creating this ...
