About Me

...Dave the Artist, The Artist Formerly Known as Dave, Demolition Dave, Non-sequitur Dave, Diamond Dave, D-Train: 1991; “I didn’t know what it was, but its black-red skin inspired the name Blood on Fire. Poised for pounce it seemed alive!” I was stunned that I'd created a sculpture that could stare right back at me. Intrigued or possessed, I quit my lucrative Lead Singer of Obscure Boston Rock Band job and drove West. Lived by the beach, ditched skis for a board, and converted a hilltop barn into an art studio. My neighbors were three horses, two dogs and 300 racing pigeons. I should probably say that again; 300 Racing Pigeons! Five years later I was hoofed out when four llamas moved in. I relocated to Montana and converted a run-down old flour mill into a painting studio. The stockyard out front held weekly sheep and cattle auctions. I organized exhibitions, snowboarded, learned to fly-fish & rock climb, yet never bought a single sheep. Its not like I didn't look. Just never found the right one I guess. 2001 marked the birth of my Sculpture and Jewelry Design Empire in scenic NYC: " Artinjection " , baby! It feels a bit strange to create things that appear to have a life of their own. When they look at me I still get that thrilling but slightly eerie feeling; “Is that thing gonna start moving?” For reasons I don’t yet comprehend, this general confusion has provided years of inspiration. So what are these corporeal objects that spring from a spool of wire and some wax? Jump the fence into Sculpture ZooGet Your Own! | art injection
