I'm a talker but I find it more difficult to describe myself when I have to put it down on paper. Maybe that's because when i think of the term "about me" I think of someone who is asked to explain and deine themselves. If thats the case, then that's a hard thing to do because I have always lived my life beyond the images and constraints of society. Simply put,I see myself as beyond a definition.But for the sake of myspace, and your sanity if you have read so far, I would have to say my music is the best definition of who I am.Since 1974 I have been a DJ. I was born to a Mother and Father who had an ear for music. While kids sang nursery rhymes I was reciting lyrics of Steely Dan, Denise Williams, Michael Jackson and Angela Bofil.In my mind music was a picture and each song was a single color of paint that needed to be meshed together to create something new. Nevertheless it took 28 years for me to actually start painting for real and not just in my mind.Since I have taken up the love of music as a DJ over the past 5 years, I have been on a serious learning curve. That curve has me DJ'ing at Madame X in NYC, Red Bamboo in Brooklyn, Soda in Brooklyn, Ubiquita NYC (when the ladies need me-shout out to Kim, Selly, Moni, & Reborn). & Resident DJ for the National Black Programming Consortium(shout out to Brad Buford).Damn so much more to say, but if you read this far your eyes must be red by now.
