BIOGRAPHYBruce Somers was one of the founding members as well as the producer and engineer for the bands Kidneythieves and Shocknina. Kidneythieves song "Before I'm Dead" was featured in the Warner Brothers Feature "Queen of the Dammed" and was also on the Platinum selling soundtrack. Bruce worked extensively with Sean Beavan (NIN, Marylin Manson, 8mm) on mixes for Kidneythieves.Bruce Somers began composing music for film when he scored Douglas Liman's (Swingers, Go, The Bourne Identity) first student film, "Astrid," in 1992 and first feature film "Getting In." He went on work with Film Composer Mark Isham and score music for television movies and dramtic shows. Bruce began to score television commercials in the late 1990's for Mazda, Sears, Dodge and Pontiac. Through Kidneythieves, Bruce's music is featured in the upcoming relase of the award winning PS2 video game Deus Ex 2.Bruce's recording studio consists of a large Pro Tools HD installation with a live drum/performance room, separate vocal room and equipment room. The studio includes a full Final Cut 5 Studio video editing system.Bruce has been recently working with various artists and producers including Jay Gordon (Orgy), Toby Wright (Korn's Follow the Leader), Dylan McLaren and Sid Riggs (Juliette Lewis, The Misfits), RA (Sahaj), and Sean Beavan (8mm Drums, NIN, Marylin Manson, Unwritten Law).
