BiographyIn the beginning....LEVITATION was formed in 1999, and like most bands has played many insignificant shows in many insignificant clubs, and released a 3 song live ADAT demo in December of 1999 entitled "Burning Lake" with Brian on guitar/vocals, Chaz Najjar on bass and backing vocals and Todd Ianniello on drums. Along the way...There were a few highlights along the way, such as opening for Yngwie Malmsteen and Lizzy Borden in March 2001. And playing the 2000 Milwaukee Metal Fest as well as support gigs for bands such as Krisiun and Angelcorpse. But most of it was a waste of time. The first full length release...So, after the departure of Chaz in 2001 and Todd in 2003, and several replacement auditions, Brian decided to switch tactics and concentrate on recording and securing a record deal. Hiring producer Jim Morris (Iced Earth, Savatage, Jag Panzer, etc.), studio drummer Mark Prator (Iced Earth, Demons and Wizards, Sebastian Bach, Autodrive), and assistant engineer Chaz Najjar, Brian began the process for the first professional "DIY" LEVITATION release, Let It Be Known at Morrisound Recording recorded entirely in Protools HD.Now....Brian has hired producer/engineer James Murphy (Death, Disincarnate, Cancer, Obituary, Testament, solo artist/engineer/producer) for his upcoming 9 song album entitled "Prepare The Way" with songs such as "Painless", "Dark Night Of the Soul", "Outside", Candlewax Angels and "Just So You Know" with recording starting in September 2006 with studio drummer Brian Harris(Vainglory, Kenziner, Firewind, Michael Harris Tranz-Fusion) to be recorded and mixed at SafeHouse Recording. Assisting James will be former Levitation bassist Chaz Najjar . A tentative release date is mid Spring 2007.
