Add to My Profile | More VideosMikael Delta started off in the 90's with Stereo Nova, the most successful electro group in Greece. His first solo project was titled "T19" and it was influenced by Detroit's techno sound. In 1996 he released his first EP on R&S Records, titled The Picture. The same year he made a live appearance in Berlin and "The Picture" was made into an anthem by the clubbers in Tresor club. The album "Blue Emotions" was released in 1999 by Glasgow Underground Recordings. In June 2000, Mikael released the exceptional "To Chroma Tis Imeras" (The Colour Of Day) with the participation of Tania Tsanaklidou -one of the best Greek singers of our time-, from which the single Mia Agapi Mikri (A Young Love) was included on Buddha Bar's "Sidharta" compilation, produced by DJ Ravin. 2001 finds Mikael signing with the French label Distance Records, on which he released the albums "Halcyon Days" and "Vulnerable"(cooperation with Billie Ray Martin for the single " I'm not Keen). In the summer 2002, DJ Mag interviewed Mikael and ranked "Halcyon Days" as one of the best albums of the year. Mikael has also written the music score for quite a number of films and theatre plays and has appeared on MTV's 120 minutes program, where the video of his T19 album hit was aired, Mosfera. The same channel had also hosted Stereo Nova presenting them as the best Greek group of the year.Above all, Mikael Delta is a Greek artist who creates music that is drawn from the sounds of the city. Although his music is played in clubs and apart from the fact that he is commercially successful, he continues to believe that the type of music he creates is a strong means to express deeper feelings, life values and existential searches.DISCOGRAPHY 1.
