About Me

THE HISTORY OF MY MUSIC..I was born in Athens at the set of the 70s and one of the elements that have built my character and my personality in general has always been music..Below are the most significant dates of my music history, throughout my 28 years, up to now..-----1979: Jean Michel Jarre composes a melody, that meant to follow the inner exploration of myself until my youth!I was three years old, when i first listened to 'Equinoxe 4', with such passion and awe..-----1981: Meanwhile, i had my..antennas tuned such in foreign music as, of course, in greek..That year, 'Fragma' was released, an experimental LP by the musician Dimos Moutsis, that contained 'De Les Kouventa', a special song performed by Sotiria Bellou, one of the most distinct female greek voices.I have to admit that i was quite feared, whenever i listened to that song, which consists of a bit..unusual instrumentation and quite complicated poetry (by Kostas Tripolitis). At the end of that year, LP 'Pame San Allote' was released, a compilation of re-orchestrated retro greek songs performed by Margarita Zormpala and re-invented by Loukianos Kilaidonis. I literally adored the homonym track, which will always be..under my skin! -----1982: A compilation casette was given to my sister as a birthday present, that contained various italo hits of that era, such as 'Ska Ska Schou Schou', 'Sara perche ti amo', 'Casino Casino', plus.. a song which i personally picked out, as if it was..calling me, somehow.. Among all the voices and the artists of the songs, the voice of DALIDA, repeatedly singing 'CONFIDENCES SUR LA FREQUENCE' (Confessions on a frequence) in a 4.10'' space disco rhythm, had definitely signified my enfantile years... With the participation of Antoine Gedroyc, this song is one of Dali's tracks that unfortunately had not been properly commercially promoted, it was overlooked instead, in order to highlight other tracks of the LP, in which they were contained... However, i am so emotionally attached to this song... So, please, if there's anyone who has further info about this song's set or any relative non-commercialised material of it, don't hesitate to contact me.. I would deeply appreciate any kind correspondance -----1983-1990: All these years, i was growing up mainly listening to 80's pop hits of the decade, along with my sister and my cousins, who were older than me. At first, i was thrilled by Tina Turner's performance in 'Thunderdome' with 'We don't need another hero'. I was very impassionated to it and i had been an intense Turner fan for a long time. However, 1984 was the year, in which i decided which icon i was going to adore the next years.. 'Dress You Up', performed by Madonna had been the stimulus and a year later i got the first K7 of my life, 'True Blue'.Through this decade, i also remember myself being 'stuck' to some particular bands and tracks of that period:Eurythmics' 'Beethoven', Bonnie Tyler's 'If you were a woman', Ofra Haza's 'Im Nin Alu', Malcolm McLaren's 'Waltz Darling', Bryan Ferry's 'Don't Stop The Dance', Black's 'Wonderful Life', Kate Bush's 'Cloudbusting' and many-many-many other ----1991-2000: This decade started with the radical modification of my music preferences and my life perception, in general.. As soon as i entered the adolescence, i became a lot more sceptical and i developed quite an introvert character..This was accompanied by an intense devotion to greek poets and lyricists, such as Nikos Eggonopoulos, Kiki Dimoula, Kostas Tripolitis, Lina Nikolakopoulou, Pavlina Pampoudi. I myself started writing poems, lyrics and prose texts and i even decided to follow this orientation for my professional career too.. I had completely put aside foreign music and i was listening impassionately to greek representators mainly of the 80s music scene, such as Lena Platonos, Tania Tsanaklidou, Arleta, Dimitris Papadimitriou, Dimitra Galani, Stamos Semsis, Vicky Mosholiou, Alkistis Protopsalti, Dimos Moutsis, Melina Tanagri, Athina Morali, Christiana, as well as Eleni Dimou, Eleytheria Arvanitaki and Haris Alexiou. As soon as i entered the university (1996) and arrived in Thessaloniki for my studies, almost simultaneously i started making radio shows at various stations of the city, making tributes to most of the artistes mentioned above. My occupation as a radio dj lasted around ten years. However, since---- 2000 up-to-now, i have started re-discovering the music and the artists i used to listen to, when i was a kid.. Thanks to the internet, that broadened my music horizons and also helped me find additional info on the musicians i used to admire, i realised how many wonderful music events, artists, songs and productions are still running (inside and outside Greece)and, nowmore, this is my main focus: to discover and meet people who have real passion for what they are doing, and deep, primitive love for music, art, inner progress and further spiritual re-invention, throuh their work.. Based on that, i believe myspace is a unique airway, through which everyone's dreams can ideally take-off...
