I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm told that I'm a quiet person, and i guess thats true most of the time, only because i usually don't have much to say to those around me. Or perhaps I'm just pretending to be dark and mysterious....one of the two. If you get to know me, though, I can be pretty talkative...I'm a big fan of doom metal(mostly [epic]traditional, funeral, and death) ,of goth(mostly the old deathrock/post-punk sound), and various types of rock, such as shoegazing, 70s progressive, and other experimental stuff...classical. I'd like to start a band myself one day, who knows when that'll happen, though. I've also slowly been getting into jazz, and I have a feeling it will become one of my favorite genres of music when I get to know it better. In addition to music, i really enjoy drawing and other arts. I have a growing interest in cartoons, particularly of the 20s-early 90s.Of classic films, art films, and horror films. I like films that not only entertain me, but make me think. I have not seen all of the great films out there, but it is one of my goals. And really, film is more than just an interest for me, its turned into an obsession. Those are my main hobbies, and what im doing with my free time usually. I do read occasionally, particularly stuff like fantasy, mythology, or books on on the subject of film or animation/art. I'd like to do something more with art eventually.. Deep down I'm an artist, I feel that my ideas will be expressed, eventually. I just need to figure out what medium fits me best. I also like to juggle. And if anyone reading this thinks they have the best girlfriend in the world, you're wrong. Shes taken, by me, her name is Nikki. Sorry you had to find out this way.

My Interests

Listening to music(and trying to play it), dark music in general, doom metal(other types of metal including, but not limited to: NWOBHM, thrash metal, death metal), goth(mostly the bands from the late 70s-80s), rock from the 70s(mostly progressive) and some rock from the 80s, going to shows and concerts (even if they suck, just to do something). Art - anything good, regardless of the medium. I, however, use mainly pencil just because I'm too lazy and broke to buy supplies. Films. REAL CARTOONS(NOT the lame ones you see on TV today that look like they were made in MS Paint). For examples of real cartoons refer to my cartoon blog. I also like video games. Mainly n64, playstation and the systems before them, I like sidescrollers and rpgs most, the fun stuff, before video games started to suck. You might think I'm childish for liking video games and cartoons, but I don't...

I'd like to meet:

Those who share my interests, not those who do not. Any attempts at a conversation can be directed to my aim screenname - istvitusi
