Ex Raye

My name is Ex Raye. (Most of you know me as Nikki Phillips.) Why don’t I go by Nikki Phillips? Well, if you’re an intelligent being, such as myself, you’d see I wrote about it above in my journal. But just incase you’re too lazy to make your wee little finger click on it…I’ll tell you. My friend MXV (The second person on my friends list) gave me this nickname. An old screen of mine was OneWithXrayEyes. A slight variation of the song Man With X Ray Eyes by Bauhaus, who is my favourite band, if you were wondering. And eventually, he started calling me Xray because of the screen name. A few typos later, here I am. Ex Raye.
So I’m 16-years-old and I go to Westmont Hilltop. The one school where, decades later, the parents are still foolish and act like they’re in high school. It’s sad when even the parents of the kids here have their petty little cliques.
This guy is my boyfriend, Daniel. Now I’m not one for cheesy displays of affection. I’m not going to go “OMG-I LUV HIM SO MUCH.” Because I’m not a fool. I will say this truthfully and without using idiotic shorthand and valley-girl speech. Daniel is one of the most respectable people I’ve met in my entire life. Not only do I love him greatly, but I hold him in high regard and I flat-out admire him. There are little things people take for granted or get angry at…And he does none of it. Another great aspect of him is that he could care less what people have to say about him. A lot of people will go throughout their whole teenage life boasting about how they “Don’t give a shit what people think” but in fact, they do. Daniel is the only person I’ve met to date who actually accomplishes this…and I adore him for it.
I’ll make this short and sweet; a quick run-down of my hobbies.
-Music (Goth Rock, Tribal, Batcave, Deathrock, New Wave, Synthpop, Glam Rock, Punk Rock, Industrial, Gothabilly/Rockabilly/Psychobilly, Alternative and Oi!)
-I buy/collect records. Yes those ‘big floppy black discs.’ They’re better than Cds. Deal with it
-Photography. (See ‘My Work’ below.)
-Fencing. That’s right. I fence. EN GARDE, BITCHES.
As said above; I do photography. I love photography very much. I am currently independent studying Photography in Westmont and will continue to do so several more times this year and next.

-The assumption that bands like HIM and Manson are Goth. Sorry. Try again. -I dislike Manson. Nothing he does is “Goth Rock.” Sorry, pal. It’s NOT a “GOTH THING” as your idiotic t-shirt reads. -People who are apart of organizations purely to come off righteous and caring to others.
