EMERSONESQUE KEYBOARD PLAYER

About Me

Well, I'm not a band, I'm a solo keyboard player right now ... but if you want to find out more, the easiest way to do it is to check out the website, www.dellow.info - it's all there, including mp3's, life story, bands I've been in - and not least, what I'm looking for now. Go on, have a look - you know you want to!

Since my first appearance on MySpace, several of you have enquired about the keyboard equipment I use. At the time of writing - and, I would expect, for the foreseeable future - the lineup is as follows : I use two Roland JP8000 synths, an Access Virus synth with a Roland A33 controller keyboard, a Roland VK7 organ and a Yamaha P150 piano. Give or take one of the JP8000's, that's the lineup I've been using since 1998, and those are the instruments that are on all the music I've recorded since that time.

A number of you have written asking me if there will be a CD available of any or all of my material in the foreseeable future, and the answer is that there will, although at this point I can't give an exact time. Details will appear on here in due course, and I'll send out a bulletin when the time comes.

Whilst I'm updating this, I'd like to take this opportunity to say a blanket 'thank you' to all those of you who have taken the time not only to listen to the music and check out my website, but to post comments on here also. They're all very much appreciated, as are the numerous friend requests I've had. Thank you all for your support.

Influences:

Emerson, Lake and Palmer, first and foremost ( and for those of you not old enough to remember, no, that's not a five-piece band ). Rick Wakeman; Marillion; and a little bit of Curved Air thrown in.

Sounds Like:

Having been weaned on the keyboard playing of Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman, I suppose it's inevitable that I've learned a lot from both. Which one I sound most like probably depends on which song you listen to and how forgiving you're being.
