About Me

This page was made to show my solo material that I have made in the studio with session musicians. The page showcases my songwriting and production talents.Cd Design and Album Art by
The recording career began in February of 2004 when a then 18-year-old Chris Nicola met veteran musician/recording engineer John McMahon through a friend. The original intention was for Chris to record a 3-song demo to get people to listen to Chris' music, so he could get a band formed. During the process of the recording, Chris realized that he would rather stay solo, and just have session musicians record with him. Chris was taught a lot about production by John McMahon during this period of time. In June of 2004, Chris released his first cd titled "The Hidden Power" which contained three songs. It didn't reach the expectations that was expected of Chris. In April of 2005, Chris went back to Song Island studios with fresh new material, and much improved musicianship to begin recording songs for the upcoming self titled cd. The music showcases Chris' love for classic rock, and more tighter musicianship than the previous release. From April-May of 2006, Chris recorded music for his latest project titled "Transitions", which showcases folk, Latin, and blues influences. So far, it's considered Chris' strongest material to date. Beginning of March of 2007, Chris went back to the studio to record his next project "The Tree of Life". This new project displays a new sound for Chris, mainly experimenting in ambient and psychedelic music. Chris released "The Tree of Life" in July of 2007. Chris has found his true niche musically while recording this project. Chris hopes to create music for movie soundtracks and video games in the future.
