About Me
I'm working with two metal bands, the italian melodic black-death ELVEN and the bulgarian black ambient IN THY KINGDOM, and cooperating with several other projects. That's because
of my endless love for the extreme music.
Medieval times & folk traditions, the mysterious bulgarian voices, dark rhythms and electronic emotions live in harmony in me... so as the passion for all the arts. Much of all this is yet in the ELVEN project. However, I needed to speak my own language. So I started alone, when ELVEN wasn't even an idea...
In the summer of 2004 Poison Ivy meets CaranD'ache, an italian violine&synth-punk-dark project, looking for new singer, but the band splits the same some mounth later. Meanwhile, gothic black band Darkmind (It), another temporary experience for Ivy as a singer, before CaranD'ache, change members, style and name: ELVEN meet Poison Ivy, in october 2004. At the same time POISON IVY becomes a serious one-girl project.
"Experiments", including 15 songs, is created and finished between december 2004 and august 2005.
The second album, "Black angels on white devils" (containing 13 songs, finished in november 2006), sounds a little bit different. More guitars and some male voice are part of it, thanks to the collaboration of Berg (guitarist and male voice in ELVEN). A harder and deeper sound, thats what I mean for my words and for my music.
Human life is full of splendid contraddictions.
Animals are simple. A rock is simple or a tree, or the snow, and even the fire.
Words come hard sometimes, sounds are instinctive.
So I stay between the dark and the hybrid white, deeply in love with the colours,
sometimes fighting and screaming, sometimes running away, dancing in Nature's womb, meeting again the pagan past and my roots in silence.
