Can he rep 3 cities? Well he's going to. Status was born in the Bronx, NY. Moved to Raleigh, NC when he was 12. Now at 24 he resides in Atlanta. He's been there for 2 years. Music has always been a part of his life. His mom is actually the one who introduced him to hiphop. Born in the year 1981, he resided on Seymour Ave. where he lived across the street from one of hiphop's pioneers..... DJ Kool Herc. DJ Kool Herc would make tapes for his mom and ask her opinion. Even though he was too young to understand what was going on, history was being made. He moved to Raleigh, NC where he would spend the most influential time in a person's life.... the teenage years. He used to try to form various rap/singing groups, but none worked out. Even though he knew some people who loved music, none of them had the passion to do anything more. Enter Dame Poe. Poe is the first friend Status made when he moved to Raleigh but they didn't start making music until after they graduated high school. They've produced 3 underground albums together recorded by various artists such as Da Troopz, All Nation, Dread Nyce, and Lex Murdoc. As of right now Status lives in Atlanta, while Poe still resides in Raleigh. Status is trying to find artists to work with in Atlanta, stay grindin', and try to take his music to the next level.
