About Me

John has performed in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Florida, Ensenada Mexico, and the Bahamas. He has studied with Al Kay, Mark Promane, John Griffith, Dan Douglas, Perry White, Pat Labarbera, Don Thompson, Brian Okane and Luis Mario Ochoa. John has his certification in Grade 4 piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music and won the honour award for his jazz ensemble from MusicFest in 2006 and in 2007 he won the St John’s Music Woodwind Award at Humber College. John has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many great artists such as Peter Appleyard, Joseph Allessi, Dave Young, Allan Vizzutti, Laurence Hobgood, John Sherwood, Del Dako, Don Thompson, and Kevin Dempsey. John is a versatile saxophonist playing Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones playing in many different groups ranging from Jazz groups and classical ensembles to hip hop and funk bands. John is also proficient on clarinet and flute. He has also performed in pit orchestras for numerous productions including “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”.
