Alas, I don’t know the Cherokee surname –
or If there was an existing surname – of
my Great-Granny Middleton’s Grandmother,
Mary Alice Gunter, who is my connection to that
ancient world and the Trail of Tears
removal. Gunter was her married name, and it Isn’t presently
known if her husband was Cherokee or if
he was given the white name of Gunter/Gunther.

BOOKS Non-fiction writers: Eckhart Tolle, Louise Hay, Alan Cohen, James Van Praagh. "Edgar Cayce: An American Prophet" by Sidney D. Kirkpatrick is one heck of a book I've read twice and will read again, I'm sure. Fiction: My favorite author of fiction is Paul Zindel (Pulitzer winner for the play "The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds.") My Zindel favorites: "The Doom Stone," "Loch," "Pardon Me, You're Stepping on My Eyeball," "My Darling, My Hamburger," and "The Pigman." ~
