Henry Moore:
This is the first artist I discovered with whom I felt a strong connection. In fifth grade I participated in the UT Art Enrichment program, where I first saw his sculptures and was completely overwhelmed. We wrote letters to him, but he was unable to reply because his health had taken a serious down turn (usually he replied to letters..) He died shortly after.

“The task of genius, and humanity is nothing if not genius, is to keep the miracle alive, to live always in the miracle, to make the miracle more and more miraculous, to swear allegiance to nothing, but live only miraculously, think only miraculously, die miraculously.†-Henry Miller

"You may very appropriately want to ask me how we are going to resolve the ever-acceleratingly dangerous impasse of world-opposed politicians & idiological dogmas. I answer, it will be resolved by computers. Man has ever-increasing confidence in the computer; witness his unconcerned landings as airtransport passengers coming in for a landing in the fog & night. (While no politician or political system can ever afford to yield understandably & enthusiatically to their adversaries and opposers, all politicians can and will yield enthusiastically to the computer's safe flight-controlling capabilities in bringing all of humanity in for a safe landing.)" --R. Buckminster Fuller from _Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth_

Wings of Desire soundtrack
ok, there is some variety here. i listen to enough music to simultaneously delight and disgust about every person i know. i keep tissues for cries of joy and buckets for projectile puking -- it's the least a friend can do.. (when trying to protect one's own apartment/clothes/cd collection - hah! i think i'm so funny- geez.)
,
Wings of Desire is one of my favorite movies! ,~~ah yeah-- just found out Richard Linklater is making A Scanner Darkly into a movie -- hell yeah! i've waited for someone to do this, so yippee! go PKD!~~

ok OKAY, i love all movies about dancing, i admit it!! i just rented honey and i will check out dirty dancing: havana nights (this movie has no plot what-so-ever and the dancing wasn't that great for having to carry an entire film on its back) when it comes out -- that's just the way it is. yes, i did totally rag on these movies and it's possible i will continue to-- hmm, just got distracted b/c the Atomic Dance factory dancers (these guys/gals are talented! this is true.) are performing on the morning news- they're good, breakdancers, too. Hey, where's my Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo video? (this has good dancers also- great, i love this movie! anyone wanna beat it? "dance offs"--??-- are so much cooler than punching! and harder.. haha- i'd love to see some of the guys who fight in clubs/downtown try to breakdance instead--hahaaaaaaaaaa!!
