Sounds Like: I’ve been spinning records since 1993 in Orlando. Now I play mostly Domestic House, but in 1993 I used to play progressive house. I buy about 10-20 records a month either online or locally. I ONLY play Vinyl. I'm not a laptop DJ. I don’t download any music. Mp3’s suck! Laptops aren’t entertaining unless you are creating music live from them.
These record labels are some of my favorites:
Fetish recordings, Tango, Utensil recordings, Deep Funk, Siesta, Control Recordings, DAE, spatula city records, Guesthouse Music, Pilot, Chillin Music, Agave lazy dayz, Naked Music, Large, Salted, Om, Black Cherry, Siesta, Aroma, Defected. These are all great labels that I spend my hard earned money on.
I bring an experience to the club when you see me play. I dance around, groove, smile, clap, and really like to get the energy of the crowd into the show. My set seems to work best when I just follow the feel of the room, the sound system, and most importantly the people. A DJ Chemist set may consist of deep house, straight groovy house, tech house, tribal house, Chicago jack, soulful house, electro. My influences are derived from Chicago, New York, California, Miami, Orlando, and Minneapolis. Whenever possible I like to play a few hours each set. 2 hours gives me enough time to take the room on a journey.
I hosted "the Chemistry Lounge" every Wednesday from 8PM - 10PM EST on internet radio, but I had a conflict with my career and production schedule. I’m open to working with people and have a pro-tools rig in my house.
