Madison was born and raised in Jamaica, Queens NY.
Coming from musical parents (Her Mother sang lead in a gospel group and her father was a popular NY radio DJ), Madison caught the Hip-Hop bug at age 8 while listening to a playback of her brother Lovelaces first demo.At the age of 11, Madison moved to Long Island to live with her father where she would attend Junior High School. Due to the fact that there werent any Rap/R&B video stations on Long Island, Madison was exposed to MTV. It was this important time frame between the ages of 11 and 13 where Madison fell in love with Heavy Rock.
In 1993, Madison moved back to her Queens neighborhood where she began entering & winning local rap battles and talent showcases. After an intense 3 years of performing, recording, & battling, she was ready for the big stage. At age 16 , Madison had already performed as an opening act for many national acts including The Notorious B.I.G (Biggie Smalls), Lil Kim, Mase and Ludacris and has created a loyal and growing following.In the Spring of 1998, Madison won B.E.Ts Nationally televised Teen Summit Talent Showcase. In 2001, she went on to win Emcee Battles on B.E.Ts 106 & Parks Freestyle Friday.In the studio, Madison has recorded for and worked with: Rockwilder, Teddy Riley, Robbie Williams, Chauncey Black of Blackstreet, LL Cool J, Marky D, Mr. Cheeks, DJ Premiere, Cory Rooney and many other well-known Producers and Artists.Her musical interests cover many genres-but it is her love of Rock and Rap (Aerosmith, Nirvana, Run DMC, Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ozzy Osbourne, Nas, etc..) that has guided her to her true love and the PERFECT MUSICAL MIX-Hip-Rock.Together with Producer/Engineer/Composer Alan Scott Plotkin (Public Enemy, Aerosmith, Run DMC, Vanessa Williams)-They have created the perfect blend of Rock and Hip-Hop.These first five tracks (Switch Played, Perfect Not, Spoze Be, Front Lawnand I.D.R ) from her Debut album, show the fire, intensity and dedication to creating and sustaing a NEW STYLE. And this is just the beginning...
