The ticking is always the same. Time doesn't move, it's all in my mind. . . I look at me with stranger's eyes and try to find me . . . look for me and save me before all FATE is gone. I want to scream, but the words have choked me out and left me breathless, grasping for the desire of something . . . better, happier, saner . . . and soon as I open my eyes again, I see ME ordinary, in the same place with everyone, quiet in my shell, measured, counted, priced and labeled . . . total stillness of the heart.
