Incarta, a success driven band from Lansing, Michigan, is a melodic post-hardcore band for fans of The Used, Devil Wears Prada, and Chiodos. Vocalist Joey Vernon,guitarists Ray Kinney and Tim Harmon, bassist Matt DeRose, and drummer Zach Darwin came together in 2006 and have been rocking faces ever since. Incarta has been asked to share the stage with Boys Like Girls, Devil Wears Prada, Bedlight for Blue Eyes, My American Heart, Every Avenue, and many more.
Their debut CD, Three Sheets to the Wind, was mastered by John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, The Ataris) at Nada Recording Studio, and recorded at Downbeat Studios with Mike Govaere. Their first CD deals with the uncomfortable parts of our lives, but in a positive way. â€œAlways Removedâ€ deals with loss; not giving in, but growing stronger. Their debit album is full of their influences â€“ from the power of Saosin and Every Time I Die, to the melodies of BonJovi, to the technical play of Kirk Hammett and Joe Satriani. But the CD is just their starting point. Each song continues to grow as they play them, either from the stage or in the basement rehearsing.
Every show Incarta tries to make a connection with the audience. They genuinely care about their fans, and the live show is the way to connect. Whether it is Joeyâ€™s singing, a glance from any of them, or Ray joining the pit â€“ they know the crowd is the reason Incarta exists. They care a great deal about the local music scene, and want to help it grow. These five see music as the most important thing in their lives and want to see it thrive in their hometown and hopefully reach even further. Even if they can affect just one person at a show, from the stage or talking after a show, it's all worthwhile. Incarta is just five dudes from the Middle of the Mitten State.
