Vargnathorn was created in 2001 by the bands' drummer, Trollvar.He recruited ex Embalmed vocalist, Grimfrost for main vocals. Also singer / lyricist Countess was asked to join up to do the backing vocals and keyboards.Then Trollvar asked a very talented friend, Syreoth, to do the guitar work for which he is renowned.The combination of these four elements provide the catalyst to create the bleak, musical wasteland that is Vargnathorn.Unfortunately for the band, both Countess and Grimfrost moved to Norway for over three years due to work commitments, effectively halting the progress on the band's first album "Bestial Hordes...By Moonlight Rise!"Trollvar also moved away to the western isles of Scotland. However 2006 sees Countess and Grimfrost returned and eager to begin work on the album once more. They are now working with Syreoth to perfect the current songs and add at least one or two more before heading into the studio. At present Trollvar seems unobtainable, but the band are not giving up hope on the founding member returning for the recordings...
