About Me

A Born and raised native of Washington DC Monique is a recent graduate from Arcadia University in Philadelphia PA. She has recieved a BFA in theatre arts/acting. Monique started entertaining people since she was fresh out of the womb. Around the age of two her mother didn't know what to do with all of her burstful energy so she enrolled Monique in a new professional dance company by the name of Suto Dance Studio. Monique loved dance and wanted to be the best ballerina but as she began to grow into other areas of dance she didn't want to be the perfect ballerina anymore. Monique begin investing more time with other dance forms such as Tap, Jazz , Modern and Hip Hop. She continued her training and, suddenly acting came around the age of 4. Her first auditon she had to recite a poem, do a dance and sing a song. Monique was obviously impressive because she graced the stage with Howard University childrens theatre company and continuned for many years doing shows all over the Metropolitan Area. In middel school her English teacher recommended her to go to the very prestigious high school Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Without thinking twice she audition got accepted and proudly graduated with many honors.As an Artist today Monique was residing in Philadelphia where she has worked and also trained with some of the top people. Just recently has moved back to Washington DC traveling back in forth from Philly and NY working on various projects. In Philadelphia she is apart of an amazing theatre project called PALMS(Preventing AIDS through Live Movement and Sound,were her duties are to educate the Philadelphia communityabout HIV/AIDS and STD'S Awarness. WRAP IT UP AND BE RESPONSIBLE:) Monique has also been accepted into the Negro Ensemble Company in NY in good hopes that she can bring BLACK THEATRE alive again. As far as Films television, commercials, she has countless background experience and filming I AM LEGEND with Will Smith. Bill Dukes Cover about Black AA men issues with being on the DL and its effects on relationships and marriages, starring Vivica Fox, Leon, Mya and Paula J Parker. Lastly STEP UP 2 THE STREETS with Channing Tatum directed by Jon Chu. The background work is fun but also a learning experience more than anything because when its lights camera action for Monique she is READY. In 2008 she has been able to grace the stage at the THE ARC theatre with a wonderful show called Junkanoo directed by Tracy Jenkins and written by Mark Williams. She is so overjoyed to announce that the show will be going to Senagal in June. At this present time she is working on several Indepedent films in the area with local directors,producers,writers etc. BE ON THE LOOK FOR THIS YOUNG TALENT SHE'S BANGING ON DOORS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT SO DONT WORRY YOU WILL CATCH HER SOONER OR LATER. But with her faith in God she knows all great accomplishments are in his hands and the battle is not hers. Monique is a very strong willed, outgoing, determined, honest and very fun to be around person. My interests is my craft and only my craft. I do love Traveling and one day I want to complete the rest of your Europe before I'm 25.
