Hey Everybody! Yes, it's really me, Tracie Thoms of the movie RENT, The Devil Wears Prada, and the TV shows "Wonderfalls" and "Cold Case". I know that there are other Tracie Thoms pages that are either pretending to be me or are fanpages for me...how flattering is that??? Who woulda' thought? Feel free to write me here, and I will do my best to get back to you. Please be patient with me though, because I get really busy nowadays. And I'll try and keep you guys updated on my future projects and stuff. In the meantime, if you want a more complete fan experience, you can check outMySpace.com/traciethoms , tracie-thoms.today-4u.net , or traciethoms.net . It's so cool and surreal that those sites are out there! I'm pinching myself! Ok, I guess that's it!

OH, one more thing. While my page says I'm single, I am NOT, I repeat, I AM NOT LOOKING FOR LOVE ON MYSPACE!!! I really, really appreciate it (it's flattering and all) , but all the "I was just browsing and came across your pic, and you're a hottie. Holla at 'cha boy. I'm looking for a wife. Lemme get to know you" messages won't be answered. That's not what I'm here for. I'm here to communicate with fans and friends and occasional business networking...that's it. Sorry boys ;-)I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

Yes, she has a gun for a leg, but that's in Robert's movie. No machine gun legs in the Tarantino movie. Although it is pretty cool!

Now, my interests! I happen to be very lucky because I do what I love to do. I love to act. And I've been blessed enough to make my living doing it. I love to sing, too, and I've even been able to do a bit of that. I also love to draw. I started drawing and sketching way before I was acting, and I even won a city-wide art contest in high school, believe it or not! I don't do it as much anymore, but I go through periods where all I do is draw.

I'd like to meet:

To fast-forward or rewind, slide the brown dot along the green line once it loads. Or to skip to the next song, just click the end of the green line. It takes you to the end of the current song. I encourage you to not just listen to the first song! All these are my favorites! Or just leave it on while you do stuff and it'll play through all of them. It's a nice little sountrack for life :-) Numbers 7 and 8 are my 2 favorite songs of all time...they're GENIUS!

And No. I’m STILL not looking for love on Myspace. Thanks, but…no.

I’m a lucky girl. I act. I sing on occasion. Mostly I just act a fool. And people sometimes pay me to do these things. Sometimes not. I’ll do it either way…well…sometimes.

M U S I C
I love old school, neo-soul and 80’s music mostly, with some hip-hop thrown in there. Donny Hathaway, Sam Cooke, Nina Simone, Bill Withers, Roberta Flack, Otis Redding, Al Green, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Motown, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Journey, Heart, Pat Benetar, Jill Scott, India.Arie, Anthony Hamilton, Van Hunt, Vivian Green, Musiq Soulchild, John Legend, Eric Roberson, Common, Cee-lo Green, Digable Planets, Outkast, The Roots, Audra Mae, etc…

M O V I E S
Favorite movie of all time is The Wizard of Oz. I love movies…all kinds of movies…from horror movies to romantic comedies. Halloween (Parts I, II, and H2O), Friday the 13th (1 through 7…sorry parts 8+, I just can’t buy Jason in Manhattan or Space or fighting Freddie Kruger), The Amityville Horror (the original), The Exorcist, Psycho, Aliens, Shaun of the Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (both the original and the remake) The Goonies (never say die!), The Lost Boys, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Boomerang, Hot Fuzz, Kill Bill (Vol. I & II), Jackie’s Back (buy that shit on Yahoo movies!), Hollywood Shuffle, Napoleon Dynamite, Love Actually, Anchorman, V for Vendetta, The Matrix (Part I), X-Men (Parts I and II) , Coming to America, The Notebook, Lovely and Amazing, Half Nelson, Little Miss Sunshine, The Spidermans, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Lost in Translation, Platoon, The 300, Network, Independence Day, The Incredibles, The Wiz, Little Shop of Horrors, Finding Nemo, Imitation of Life, and the list goes on and on in this random, meandering way…

T E L E V I S I O N
I'm usually too busy for TV, but I'll do this part anyway. OBSESSED with Big Love, and Flight of the Conchords; love Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, The Shield, and Cold Case (yeah, I had to say it. Shoot me cuz I like my own show!). And of course, my beloved cartoons, The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, and Family Guy...WATCH PUSHING DAISIES THIS FALL!!! It's by one of the guys that did Wonderfalls, and stars my good friend Lee Pace!

B O O K S
I suck cuz I'm not as well-read as I'd like to be. But I love Native Son, A Lesson Before Dying, Assata, The Invisible Man and Jazz. I hear those Harry Potter books are pretty good :-)

H E R O E S
My Parents. My grandparents. The rest of my family. Lynn, Joy, Kevin, Ryan, and all my actor friends who keep the faith and stay in this fucked up game even though it tries its best to break our spirits most of the damn time...YOU are the champions, my friends!!!

Music:

I love old school soul music. I like neo-soul as well, but I think I was born in the wrong era sometimes when it comes to music. Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway, Al Green, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Motown, Otis Redding, Earth Wind & Fire, Bill Withers....all those cats. I LOVE 80's music, too!!! Contemporary music? I like Jill Scott, India.Arie, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Van Hunt, Lela James, John Legend etc... There is a pattern I know. The contemporary artists I like sound like old school artists. Although it's not that I don't dig hip-hop, too. I do. Oh, I love Cee-Lo and The Roots and Common, but they've got an old school vibe about them, too...And a consciousness. I'm not into bling-bling hip-hop. I guess it's just that I'm kind of a singer, and therefore, I love listening to voices. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Movies:

I love horror movies! I can watch Friday the 13th movies all day. But, I love all kinds of movies. Although my favorite movie of all time has to be The Wizard of Oz. I know it by heart. I also LOVE Napoleon Dynamite, Anchorman, Shaun of the Dead,Boomerang, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka', Love Actually, Kill Bill (esp. Vol. II), The Spidermans,The Goonies, and many, many others...One of my favorite things to do is have dinner with friends at my house and watch movies. Any kind of movie!

Television:

I think Grey's Anatomy is one of the best shows on television right now. I wish I watched it more, but I don't watch much TV. Of course I'm required to say Cold Case because it's my show, but I honestly do think it's a good show. I thought it was good before I was on it. And of course, I love cartoons! :-) Yes, I'm a grown A$$ woman and I love cartoons...sue me! The Powerpuff Girls is my favorite! And I love Dexter's Laboratory! As well as the good old classics like Bugs Bunny and all them cats...

Books:

I must say, I hardly have time to read books. It's embarrassing, actually. My favorite book for a long time was Native Son, but I also love A Lesson Before Dying.

Heroes:

My parents. They are my heroes first and foremost. Followed by the rest of my family. They are the greatest!
