ABOUT TRENT JACKSON
Trent Jackson is a victorious fighter who has used the many obstacles thrown into his life as avenues for creative expression. He has transformed himself from what could have been an emotionally broken individual into a talented and inspirational figure whose life has really just begun.
Educated at the prestigious Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jackson evolved his instinctive interest in observational storytelling while
actively pursuing a career in broadcast and print journalism. His sensitivity and colorful personality can easily be seen in his work. “I see myself being the vessel that makes people think about their day to day actions,”
explained Jackson about his talent. “By using my life experiences and creating characters that we can relate to is what makes my writing so different, real and conversational.” It’s personal experiences that have led Trent to complete “At This Moment” (Intricate Publications, 2004) his first, independently published novel that has sold over 11,000 copies internationally. In the book he tackles issues such as homosexuality, sexual abuse, dysfunctional family life, being overweight, self-love,
and being Black and gay in America.
Instead of letting life circumstances define whom he is, Jackson uses his experiences to not only help heal himself, but to also provide a platform for others who may relate to him. His second novel, “Full Circle,” the sequel to “At This Moment,” further explores the issues of the first book as well as repetitive cycles in life and what we can do as people from allowing ourselves to be caught up in our own unhealthy decisions, while trying to maintain and balance everyday life. Jackson currently lives in Los Angeles and is the host of a popular, bi-weekly radio show, In The Mix With Trent, which is hosted on his blog, http://justasktrent.blogspot.com.
He is working on other literary works such as “False Intentions, False hopes” and what he calls his most exciting book yet, “The Pink Player Diaries.” Trent will also be launching a non-profit organization, the “Everyday Is Tuesday,” foundation that will benefit high school and college students that are affected by the Sickle-Cell Anemia disease. My Interests

Hmmm...1st and 4 most, I like minding my fuckin business, staying in my lane and learning how to drive the speed limit. I used to be soft and yummy but have had the tendency to be jiggly and worthy of leaving an after taste...but I figure people should know what they are signing up 4. I used to enjoy talking shit on the radio but I am unsure about that now...Writing about reality in books has become a challenge. Hanging out with boys especially thugs is refreshing... I LOVE ME MORE THAN EVER...So I have more fun with me, versus the entourage... I still don't give a fuck about what these other hoes are doing. i am still ignoring niggas that keep up bullshit ultimately forgiving but not forgetting. Sleeping is currently on back order. My I-pod is full and is becoming obsolete like mommaz records and my CDz...Brainstorming while on the toilet, in the shower or driving the car is still cathartic...laughing at silly sissies and the stunts they pull is no longer a laughing matter. It's actually starting to pull at my spirit. Is anyone reading this?
