I grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to Dominican parents. They were both musically inclined and there was always music in the house. Though they had thier sights set on a medical career for me, I swayed towards the arts at a very early age. I was drawing at age 3 and sculpting by 9. By 15 I started dancing professionally for a record company much to my parents' objections. They got used to the idea after they saw me perform in several New York venues. I focused on dance until I sustained an injury that left me incapacitated for several months. It was then that I shifted my focus towards acting. Once I caught the acting bug I knew I was going to do it for the rest of my life. When Rent came my way it changed my life. I live in Los Angeles now and continue to do the thing I did in New York....but with much better weather.
