He then joined a local Huntington rap group called "THE L.A.B RATS"-(lyrics and beats....raw artistry through speakers) where he performed as "Francie U" before the likes of local talents in nightclubs in the tri-state area. Remaining with the L.A.B RATS for 6 years, the group released a maxi single called "HOWS LIFE" which was released by a small indie label called "3rd World Records". The group also appeared on a "6 Lower Records" compilation album called "YOU'RE FROM WHERE", as well as appeared on the front cover of Hot Face Magazine.
