And the story goes like this...
Emerging from the streets of Bluefield, West Virginia is a young star that goes by the name of Tiger the Ace. Tasheem "Tiger" Hayes. a 20 somethin' year old man, best describes himself and his lifestyle using clever metaphors, and street tales, using his mouth as the vehicle and his "hustla-soul", as he calls it, as the motor. Influences such as Tupac, Nas, and soul singer Sam Cooke, have helped mold who he really is and without their knowledge acted as guides and inspiration for Tiger to paint vivid pictures, lyrically of the things in Tiger's world.
His career started at the age of 19, when he and Terrence "Fire" Brown and producer Sky Carter, formed a group - The Great Onez, while attending Marshall University in Huntington,WV. Their debut album "Destined for Greatness" and their trendsetting ways, opened numerous doors for them to perform all over the state and surrounding area, consequently generating a noteworthy buzz, for their relatively odd demographic. As it seemed things were about to take off for the group, the unforgiving streets, cast a dark cloud on what was to be a bright future. Partner in rhyme "Fire" picked up 60 months at one of the nations least desirable bed & breakfasts - The Feds. Not deterred by that temporary set back. Tiger set off to blaze his own trail. And hs since mad one of the largest impacts in the indie scene with his company Heavy Money Entertainment. As a result of his slick marketing tactics and thorough knowledge of the game he single-handedly propelled his own solo - debut "Hustlaz Notebook" (released on Self Made Records) to the 1 selling independent artist/album in WV. His stage game has come full circle and in his numerous appearances in front of crowds as small as 100 and as large as 10k, he's proven he can measure up to anyone when it comes to his live show. Among the artists that have had the priveledge to share the stage with him are: Drag-On, Nappy Roots, Young Gunz, Memphis Bleek, FreeWay, Lil' Jon & the Eastside Boys, Trillville, Ying-Yang Twins, J-Kwon, 8-Ball & MJG, Devin the Dude, Clipse, and Lil' Wayne. He's been in cypher sessions with Rah-Digga, and on another occasion Peedi Crack. Tiger is simply the Ace of a Place that refuses to continue to go unnoticed. That place, waiting to be cracked open, is West Virginia. Tiger is the Future of West Virginia!!!
