News: Kendell aka Young Sav and Steve 'Steve-O' Carless Presents Best of Both Offices Date: 3.24.06Inspired by Green Lantern's 'Best of Both Hoods' mixtape, that featured Young Jeezy and Juelz Santana, Mix-show directors, Young Sav and Steve-O has created a buzz throughout the mixtape circuit, with their latest mixtape series titled 'Best of Both Offices'."I'm not a mixtape dj, but I had a strong idea and just piggy backed off it. I knew that Green Lantern was supposed to do a mixtape called "Best of Both Hoods", with Jeezy and Juelz Santana. And I was just sitting in the office thinking: what if I just pinned both offices against each other, Def Jam and Interscope, the two power houses; and I just made it a reality. I went to my man Steve O., and he was like "let's just do it", and we just reacted off it," Kendell explains to mixtapetalk.com"Everyone wants to know what goes on behind the scenes in the record Company offices, this is a concept based on executive moves on a street level," added Steve-O.Recently, the two announced that they're ready to release vol. 2, which is set to drop on March 28th, featuring Atlantic and Universal records recording artists."The reason we picked Atlantic and Universal this time around is, because, right now, T.I. and Lil Wayne are on fire, and we wanted to put them on the cover and play off of that. This specific 'Best of Both Offices' is subtitled as the "king of the south edition," being that T.I. and Lil Wayne are on the cover. What we're trying to do is run people to our website (www.bestofbothoffices.com) to vote on which label won this cd. Our main goal was to just pinned the labels against each other and have the public decide who won," says Young Sav.

Artists: Kendell a.k.a. Young Sav and Steve "Steve-O" CarelessRepresenting: The buzz on the streetsMixtape: The Best of Both Offices411: With a name like Young Sav, you really wouldn't expect somebody like Kendell to be making the rounds in the boardrooms, but hey, this is rap. Young Sav, younger brother of radio personality/ song hypeman Fat Man Scoop, engineers the boards at Hot 97 for the likes of DJ Clue, DJ Kay Slay and Green Lantern and works radio promotion for Def Jam when he's not making mixtapes with his partner Steve-O. They've been putting together their Best of Both Offices series as a way of giving props to different labels as well as highlighting records that are gaining buzz.Joints To Check For:* "Cannon" by T.I. and Busta Rhymes. "When I heard Busta and T.I. was doing a song together, I thought, 'Wow, this is incredible,' " Sav said. "Drama is putting together some fire. It's something I was looking for. Then when I heard it, I thought it was incredible. The best part about the whole song was how [producer] Don Cannon put the 'Cannon' drop throughout the whole song." * "Feels So Good" by Remy Martin featuring Ne-Yo. "It was definitely something different than what you normally hear from Remy. Ne-Yo complimented her well. This record is hot, so it's no way it couldn't be on this CD." * "D-Boy" by Lil Wayne. "Wayne's growth as an MC is marvelous. I remember the Wayne in the early days of the whole Cash Money movement. Now you look at him and he could be placed at the top of the King of the South conversations."
