Free speech is essential for many reasons, but it is an especially important tool to peacefully combat hate crimes, such as that recently perpetrated in Canada, with the Canadian government’s tactic approval, when certain so-called newspapers re-published caricatures of Mohamed with a bomb in his turban. It is clear that Canadian hate laws were never intended to protect non-white people of “unapproved” faiths. The Canadian government has made it clear who gets free speech in Canada, and who doesn’t. Tacticaltees.com challenges and peaceably combats hate in all its manifestations. The colour of the hatemonger is irrelevant; and whether they belong to a “superior” religion is also irrelevant.
