Poison Girls

I reject the system that murders my children.

About Me

THIS IS A FAN PAGE!!
The Poison Girls were a British anarcho-punk band, at one point a part of that scene around Crass. Vi Subversa, wrote songs that kicked patriarchy in the teeth, she wrote passionate lyrics especially on the issues of womyn's struggles, the fucked up gender roles, animal cruelty, worker exploitation, and the other horrors that humanity faces.
From what I understand, Vi was turned on to punk by two of her children which went on to form Fatal Microbes and Rubella Ballet, (Pete Fender and Gem Stone). Vi went on to incorporate her own anarchist beliefs into her music. Like that of the hatred towards the system and government which "Lay to waste the wombwork and the labour" by turning our own children into murderers to go die for a rich man's war.
Vi's lyrics give a big fuck off to the idea that a womyn should be in the kitchen and have to be a stay at home wife. The Poison Girls lyrics have become an inspiration for anarchists especially those in the anarcho-punk scene everywhere with their heart felt lyrics dealing with anarchism, and anarcha femminism.
The Poison Girls have released 5 albums and eight EP's and singles including a split EP with Crass. Richard famous is currently a painter and decorator. Vi Subversa resides in Spain.
If you want, request a song and I'll try and add it if I have it. Check every so often for new songs, they will be changed every few weeks.
