I love to travel, and have placed my feet on every continent except Antartica (so far!)
Our New Year's Eve in Sydney Australia.
Missions work in Kenya brought me into the ministry. Here's an example of one of the special places that really touched my heart:
Kaaga Children's Home
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "I have a Dream"
These words still stir my soul.
They challenge me to name as evil and work to end
racial intolerance, economic injustice, hatred and bigotry.
All the actions that diminish another.
Must our children and grandchildren live in such a world?
We can change it!
It's time for our society to truly embrace the ideals that
we proclaim, and turn them into reality for ALL God's children!

My tastes in music are totally eclectic! I sing here and there and mess around with an electric guitar.
Also eclectic. The Matrix, K-Pax, Don Juan de Marco, Scent of a Woman, The Green Mile, Sirens, almost anything with either Dustin Hoffman or Johnny Depp in it...
I've gotten addicted to Battlestar Galactica. But I have to admit that I kinda like the Cylons!!! :-{
It snowed so much here recently that we might get caught up on our TV watching...
Got the DVD set of HBO's "ROME" for Christmas and now I'm hooked. It's fascinating because my geneology contains a direct descendent who is a child of Marcus Antonius and Octavia - that makes Octavian (soon to be Caesar Agustus an UNCLE!)
Now how do I deal with being directly related to those responsible for so much misery and oppression in the world???
I have a ton of books stacked up to read. Recent books that peaked my interest: Brian McLaren's "A New Kind of Christian," Black Elk Speaks, Marcus Borg's writings.
"Singled Out" night on the town at University Bookstore on the Ave in Seattle!
Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., Caesar Chavez, Jesus of Nazareth, Gustav Gutierrez, Anthony de Mello, The Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandella
My Wife, Love of my Life!
I Love You Nona...
