Sarlo akrobata was born out of Limunovo drvo [Lemon
Tree], in winter 1979 in Belgrade. Members were Milan
Mladenovic [guitar+vocal], Ivica Vdovic-Vd [drums] and
Koja [bass+vocal].Short-lived, but radical, Sarlo was one
of the most innovative and powerful bands ever to come
out of former Yugoslavia. They've participated on 1981
compilation 'Paket-aranzman'[Package deal] together with
other two BG new wave bands [Idoli-Idols and Elektricni
orgazam-Electric Orgasm], played Zagreb Bijenale
International festival,[with Gang Of Four] and later on
in the same year they released critically acclaimed LP
'Bistriji ili tuplji covekbiva kad...'[A human becomes cleverer
or dumber when...], one of the milestones of Yugoslavian
r'n'r. After the autumn tour in Poland, the band split in
two fractions:Milan's Ekaterina Velika [Caterine The Great]
and Koja's Disciplina Kicme. Sadly, both Vd and Milan died [1992,94.]
