Influences: All my friends, all of you on here, you all inspire me even though I haven't heard some of you, "the fact that you're out there doin it... I respect that", really I love it I love what we're doing...my mum n dad, the way they're always singing, their collection of opera, musicals, female pop, The Village People and Billy Joel growing up, my Papa, his playing and passion and his daily renditions of bei Meir mis du chein and Missed the Saturday dance, my Uncle John and his Best of Dixie land album, so good, my sister's unshakeable love of and loyalty to Jimmy Barnes, and my brothers' to Bon Jovi, my Aunty and the way she has her car stereo up to almost pain volume and my Uncle Andrew how he takes time every night to select albums and sit alone and really listen to them, my Aunty Gay who can play by ear, my cousin Jo who writes and records great songs in his tee-pee ; ) and who I just found out last night is living in Thailand selling organic donuts! go Jo : ) my cousin Jim who writes and jams and is so passionate, Madeleine and Jamie Fay who make up the funniest songs and dances I've ever heard and seen, thank God for them, Naomi Jean for her constant striving for the making of pure heart music, Joanna Lavelle for her soulfulness and unwavering dedication to all that is 70's, Nashua Lee and Thai Matus for their uncompromising playing/channelling and the fun they have playing together, Mark Morgan for his acoustic originals... record them now they are really good...Leigh Carriage for those moments of lush and her great patter, Nick Roux and his friend Jeff for the Yayaouk series...Ill update the spelling on that one, Darren Percival for that brilliant voice, Bob Dylan, Prince, John Farnham for Whispering Jack..epic..Tom Waits for Closing Time and Alice, Jeffrey Archer for his short stories, Mike Myers, Will Ferrrel, Ben Stiller, Ani di franco, Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Paul Simon, Paul Kelly, Fiona Apple she was only 19 or 20 when she recorded TIDAL..wow..Milton Nascimento and Lo Borges really affected me, but not nearly as much as the Julien Wilson trio's rendition of Clube da Esquina No.2 (u can hear it on his myspace turn it up and close your eyes) ...and so many more I may add when it's not bedtime...
