Mosaique

Artistic soul "inspiring" Brother!

About Me

He represents un-restricted expression in its purist form and who is he?.......,Poet, Song writer, Actor............ Mosaique! Born (In the golden era of the 70s), to Jamaican Parents, and raised in the manner on the south side of the River (Battersea to be specific), influenced by their cocktail of divers tastes (Active ingredients Reggae and Pop), and raised on a diet of 80s soul, rare groove and jazz funk (Courtesy of his 3 siblings), before enrolling in the School of Hip-Hop in the late 80s! Being the creative and arts loving individual that he is, Mos has a degree in fashion (Mental note, must use this to my benefit..some day soon!), turned his hand to the art of word play as part of Hip-Hop Group Pyramids in 1997 (After hearing Mobb Deeps Hell on Earth album),. but that didnt last long so, he continued to work at his craft and on solo material whilst performing on Londons open mic circuit until he joined group Roots Conquest (In 2000), with whom he helped to craft a new sound they coined Roots/Rap, won the nationwide Urban Voice competition in 2001, recorded a demo for Universal/Island, toured the north of England and subsequently released an EP entitled Another Day in The West all in 2002...........but that aint last long either! So, he took some time out and came back as a hybrid Artist with a re-invented sound and mission in 2004. Since his return, he has quickly established the respect of his peers, in addition to building a reputation of one who is a solid performer and crowd favourite, won the title of Word 4 Word Poetry Slam Champion, was a UK Unsigned runner up, performed as a finalist at the UK slam finals (Spokefest 2006), at Stratfords Theatre Royal, appeared on MTV Base, recorded an I-dent for Channel U. Mosaique has recently collaborated artistically with the award winning Wacfoo film production company. This partnership has seen Mosaique's work previewed (To critical acclaim), at short film festivals nationwide and his piece entitled"It Could Be" triumphed over 400 entries from all over the world, to be the eventual winner, as voted for by the people, in the "international Filminute Short Film" festival. His growing fan-base eagerly awaits Mosaiques first full length album on which he has collaborated with the likes of The Insomniax, Electron, Jnr SAS, Darwood (3+1), Phoenix Black, Neo-Soul Singer Fae Simon and others, to create a masterpiece that displays his full range of talents.
