Filmtustin.com is located at the decommissioned Marine Corps Air Station in Tustin, California near the intersection of Warner and Redhill Avenues. We are a commercial venue in partnership with ATEP (Advanced Technology & Education Park) , which is a new campus of the South Orange County Community College District. The SOCCCD includes Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College.

Filmtustin has hosted many motion pictures, commercial still shoots, and student productions during its short time in business. Please feel free to browse our pics and videos to see some of the projects ATEP has participated in.

Our guests sometimes ask, "What are they doing with this place?" . The answer is, "many things", as several separate entities hold ownership over the land. Our primary objective of this page is to inform you about what filmtustin.com has to offer you, the producer/event coordinator.

Filmtustin.com occupies nearly 70 acres of filming and event locations with thanks to our partnership with ATEP. Our most popular building is the helicopter maintenance hangar, where we have hosted numerous auto training events, infomercial shoots, and feature film productions.

ATEP has also acquired a majority of the barracks buildings which include styles ranging from the 1940's through the 1980's; the mess hall, fully dressed with chow line, tables and chairs; a military exchange including a general store, barber shop, and beauty salon; storage barracks; a fitness center; basketball court; and a portion of empty landing pad.

Generally speaking, our rates run $1000 per area per day plus the rate for a location supervisor who will be designated to your project. Daily rates may vary depending on the length of your shoot or the performance danger involved with your filming/event.

Please feel free to email us here or go directly to FILMTUSTIN.COM if you have any questions. We will be happy to give you a tour of our facilities at a time that is convenient for you.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Producers, directors, and event coordinators who would like a tour of our facilities.

College students who are currently enrolled in film courses. FILMTUSTIN.COM has a co-operative program in place that integrates University students with other students in the South Orange County Community College District. Ask me how you can film at our location without paying the daily rental rate and 30% off the hourly Supervisor rate. Insurance is required from your school.

I'd also like to meet reliable and motivated interns who are intrigued by the craft of film production.

If you are a student who would like to participate in an event, please EMAIL US with your first and last name, a contact phone, a primary email address, and the area of production that you are most interested in (i.e. cinematography, directing, producing, sound, etc.). We will do our best to place you in your area of interest.
