Looking to create something new, Jay (guitar) and Dennis (bass) set out to put together a band that would combine their metal and hardcore influences. Enlisting old friends and local band veterans, Anthony Gavin (guitar) and Jason JaKa Karnatski (drums), System Torture was on its way. Quick to gel, the 4 began writing songs almost immediately. The long search for the right vocals began. After months of going through several potential vocalists, it was Brian Bleeker Keffel (formerly of Lost Dog) that finally put an end to their search. Brian's unique doom and hardcore vocal style, and deep lyrics were a perfect fit.
