I am in a group..but this is not their site. I sing with Selah, the most amazing Christian group around (in my opinion). Selah sings more traditional hymn and church music, with a twist..and as a solo artist I do a more contemporary worship style...but I love both!! I am 28 yrs old...happily married...living in California in the bay area where I'm from.
I moved to Nashville in November of 2000...not just to pursue music or get a record deal, but because I felt that God wanted me there. I wasn't even sure why. But I moved, with the help of my family, but all alone. Sometimes I thought I would go crazy by myself..but God is good. It took me almost 6 years to step into my calling, which is full time music ministry with Selah. The funny thing is, I wasn't even trying.
I had gotten to a place where i wasn't interested in what the "industry" had to offer. I don't look like a pop princess, and I don't sing like one. I was planted in my church, the Oasis Worship Centre, singing praise and worship and loving it. I had told God that if that is all He ever wanted me to do, that I would be happy just worshipping Him. And then one day a phone call changed my life...wow that sounded cheesy!! A friend of mine on the praise team is friends with Todd and Allan, and had received a phone call from them asking if she knew anyone who would like to audition. I fell in love with their music, I auditioned, and the rest is history.
I absolutely love being with Selah. The ministry is everything I could have hoped for and more. I also love worship music, which is why I'm beginning to work on my own stuff this year.
