michelle LUXON... a performer from an early age.At first came poetry, then the determination to get a guitar. Still gigging with that first guitar as part of her gear, she remembers the advice given by her (now) brother-in-law "don't be afraid to play it hard".Her approach has always been largely intuitive and has developed into a stylistic fusion of open tunings and beat-oriented picking techniques. Performances typically take the form of a one-woman-show of alternative-folk and spoken word. Her voice asks for the same honesty as it gives through songs that show the fruition of over a decade of song-writing.Having spent most of her life in the process of moving, michelle is currently based out of Toronto. With her thirst for new influences, you can find her out at the shows of other musicians that she respects and supports. michelle maintains that "it's the JOB of the artist to comment and challenge while remaining true and honest to one's beliefs".
